I Cento had their first ever bike rodeo. Two officers came to the school and talked to the kids about bike safety and the rules of the road, and a couple of days later, they had a bike rodeo to show off their skills. Guess who got roped into being bike course designer and master builder?

Thank goodness he had lots of great ideas and a lot of help setting up. The kids were so excited when they came outside and saw how their parking lot had been transformed. All Ryan could was keep pointing and saying, "that's my Dad, that's my Dad!" He was so proud of him!

One of the officers gave them a little briefing, and then they all scrambled to find their bikes...it was a riot.

Ryan had to have his bike inspected and answer a few questions before he could hit the course.

He passed with flying colors and off he went. Notice he is FINALLY riding his own bike! At home he still prefers the pink bike, but we told him he absolutely could not ride the pink bike at school and if he wanted to participate, he had to man up and ride the boy bike! His legs must have grown a couple of inches because he had no problem on it and rode it like a champ.

He did GREAT, and Randi was so proud of him for doing so well!

All the kids got a bike medal, Lance Armstrong bracelet and icy pop when they finished.

Then it was Randi's turn. I'm not sure what the officer was saying to her, but she sure seemed to think it was funny!

She had to ride on the big kids' course that had a lot more obstacles and challenges.

The whole pit crew! Great job everyone! Our hard hats are off to you!
