Last Day of the Season at Schlitterbahn

We woke up to a beautiful morning, so we decided to take the kids to Schlitterbahn one more time before the park closed for the season. It was so much fun. We asked a little friend of Randi's to come with us, we had the park practically to ourselves for the first couple of hours, the sun was shining, and we only had one minor toddler melt-down, so it was a really, really good day!

After a fun birthday party at Landa Park this morning....

we went out to visit Papa and Mimi. It was fun to visit
and the kids had a blast riding the quad and Buddy the horse.

Visit from a friend

It's always nice to spend time with friends, and having a visit from my good friend Clarissa is no exception. There's never a dull moment when this girl is around!!!

In honor of 9-11, we made brownies for the fireman
and took them to our local fire station....thus the fire coats the kids are wearing!

Happy Birthday Randi

Michael and I gave Randi her birthday present (a pink DS Lite) this morning when she woke up. Thank goodness her friend Robert came over to help set it up so Michael and I didn't have to read any instructions. They played on it for a while, and I think she's a bit hooked already. When it came time to take a nap this afternoon, she came out of her bedroom after about 7 or 8 minutes and said to me "Mom, I can't stop thinking about my DS!" I told her she better stop thinking about it or I was going to have to take it out of her room while she slept. She went back in her room and proceeded to tell me quite loudly that we shouldn't have bought a DS for her until she was 10 years old because she just couldn't get it out of her mind!!!

We wanted to make sure Ryan didn't feel left out so we got him a present for Randi's birthday too...a little shaving kit. It was quite a hit with both of them!
