The kids are on Spring Break last week and the weather has been gorgeous here in Texas, so we decided to take them on their first camping adventure. Now mind you, the campground was only 12 miles from the house, had water and electricity at the campsite (though we never used the electricity and Michael only used the water to put out our fire), and there were restrooms with showers within 100 feet of our site, so it wasn't totally roughing it, but nonetheless, we did pitch tents and sleep outside under the stars, surrounded by bears and scary wood monsters (just the wind blowing the tent). Our friends the Ewald's joined us, and we all had a great time!

Randi & Ryan had a great time on the tire swing with little Jacqueline

Ryan of course loved the excavating equipment!

The kids (all 5 of them) had a great time on the jumping pillow

Randi & Caroline

I think the little kids wore the big kid out!

Ryan and Jacqueline all tuckered out after swimming in the indoor heated pool

Ryan's first beef jerky....or beef turkey as Randi called it

Camping is all about the food!
Chef's Michael & Katherine feeding the hungry masses!

Randi roasting marshmallows

And Ryan getting down to business and eating them!

Yum!

The next morning, the kids even got breakfast in bed!

Thanks for a fun first camping adventure Yogi! We'll definitely be back!
