Ryan's class celebrated their last day of school by visiting the Wonderworld caves in San Marcos. Michael, Randi and I all tagged along, and we had a really fun day exploring and learning together. First we went down into a big dry cave and learned about the Balcones Fault line, different kinds of rocks and minerals, and the Edwards Aquifer.
Heading down into the cave...

Ryan trying to be our tour guide

Are you sure you want me to go down here mom?

Dad saves the day and leads the way

Ok, this isn't so bad...actually it's pretty cool

Ryan was fascinated the whole time and hardly said a word the whole time until toward the end when he raised his hand and asked our guide what made the rocks so many different colors in the caves?

Heading to the next part of our adventure...
the kids did this all on their own and we thought it was the cutest thing!

After the caves, we went to the anti-gravity room....it was cool and weird at the same time!

Most of the crew waiting to board the train to the visit the animal park

The deer were very tame and very hungry!

The peacocks really strutted their stuff for us and the kids loved it!

Exiting under the waterfall that keeps the animals inside the park

And of course we had to visit the gift shop!

Finally, food and fun at the end of an exciting day.

We're going to miss you Mrs. Svatora!
