We went back to the Rodeo, but this time to join Papa at the San Antonio Livestock Sale. Ryan was pretty shy at first, but as the day went on, he wanted to help Papa bid on some animals.
At first, Papa had to show him how it was done...
then the auctioneer brought him up for a little lesson on bidding and bribed him with ice cream if he'd raise the bid a little bit more...
he kind of understood, but Papa still had to help a little...
then the auctioneer tried to get Randi in on the action...
not wanting to be outdone by his sister, Ryan finally figured out how to bid on his own...
he was a little tentative at first...
but then he bought himself a bird!!!
Way to go young grasshopper!
