336/365 - Wassailfest

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Every year at the beginning of December our little town has a festival called Wassailfest. The streets of downtown are blocked off to traffic, the shops all serve a drink called wassail and the streets are filled with music and holiday cheer. Randi's music teacher loves to participate in the event and always arranges an area for her kids to play guitar and sing Christmas carols. Last year Randi had just started playing the guitar and was not confident enough yet to play in front of a crowd, but this year was another story. She was excited to go, she didn't seem nervous at all when we got there and she played her little heart out. She was the youngest student to play 4 songs (all the others only played one song), and she didn't miss a note. Needless to say, I was very, very proud of her.

She looks confident! And yay for her too1 I've just been taking lessons for a few weeks on the guitar. I thought with a musical background, I'd pick it up easy. :/ Good for her to get the chance to learn such a beautiful instrument imo.
