Randi and her classmates went on a field trip today to Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne. She had a great time, but I honestly think her favorite part of the day was riding the school bus. She's never ridden on a school bus before and was SO excited about it that it's all she's talked about for the last several days. Oh how I wish I could have been a fly on the wall inside the bus on the trip there and back. I bet she felt so grown up and had the best time with all her friends! For some reason I kept reflecting back on my days of riding the bus to and from school and what a great rite of passage that whole process was. It makes me realize that my little one is really growing up.
The ranch was a lot of fun. I had fun taking pictures of the kids, but the other photo opps around the ranch were fantastic and I kept finding myself being drawn away by some randomly cool thing, so it was a really, really fun day for me because I got to play too!

Riding the bus is so much fun when you are not a bus rider! Those are some great photos and I love the collage! I also love school uniforms. Does she go to private school? I wish public schools had uniforms in NH.
These are great pics. That tire horse is a lot like mine. How cute is the baby Bison with it's mom? I really like the excited look on Randi's face as she's boarding the bus. Private school? Or charter? One of my granddaughters goes to a charter school and the kids can wear any combination of official uniform clothing in Red, White, blue, or
Tan. Will Randi have to change schools now that you moved?

What IS the universal draw of the school bus for kids who don't get to ride one???
What a fun storyboard! I especially like the composition of the bottom right image. It feels very grounded and the grouping of 3 is a nice contrast of uneven-ness vs the square edges of the frame.
OMG, I had already looked up this ranch at it was on our list of places to visit! It looks like a lot of fun indeed! Great photos!
P.S. My daughter is begging us to take her on a school bus! LOL
