299/365 - Tomato

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Back in April, Gee helped the kids plant some tomato bushes. We brought them to the new house with us when we moved, but silly me left them out in front when we first got here and the deer quickly ate them right down to the stalk. Amazingly enough, they survived...first the deer, then an incredibly hot, dry summer, and now they're finally producing some sweet little treasures.

Yummy! This was our first year of having cherry tomatoes. Leighton loved them. Next year I will only be planting 2 plants because we had Tons (hundreds) of little cherry tomatoes. This is such a sweet photo!
