I saw this buck on my way home from dropping the kids at school. He was chasing some does and thinking with the wrong part of his body, so he didn't mind at all when I came down later with my camera to take a couple shots of him. I guess the rut does have some advantages!

Always fun to be surprised by things not commonly seen around! Unless it's something that will hurt you :)
Thank you for your super kind words on my blog....it was a nice thing to wake up to this morning. I don't think I would know where to begin to start a class. You are always welcome to email me directly at tracy1617@yahoo.com if you'd like ;) I am always willing to help out or answer questions..not sure I will always have the answer or use correct termonlogy, but I am willing to try.
For the shot where I had a lot of haze on the black and white photo of Estelle in her costume I just position myself so that the sun is just at the top of my lens giving me a bit of a haze. I should post the before so that you can see that, would that help? I also use a lens hood 100% of the time. It allows me to control the lighting a bit more. If I see bubbles or prizms in the lens I move slightly to remove them. My processing is another long story. One I would chat about over the phone ;) Too much to type. I am trying to use very few actions. I like to get the look I want on my own now. A lot starts with the output from the camera. I try to use the lighting to my best advantage as well as exposure. Sometimes I get it, others I don't. You probably already know this, but I use PSCS5 to edit in. I'm a numbers gal and use curves :) I'm willing to chat late into the night....just ask Melissa! ;) You brightened my day....especially when we are usually really hard on ourselves. I for one can say that I am insecure when it comes to my work, believe or not ;)
Sorry for the story :)
Wow! What a cool capture and beautiful clarity!
I'm beginning to think you live deep in the woods w/all these animal posts, but I can tell you don't by your house. Such a cool place to live w/all that wildlife AND a great town.
