While everyone else was putting their turkey in the oven this morning, we were getting a kitty out of a tree. When Michael went out to bring teddy in last night he found him high up in this tree. We got out a 16' ladder, but it only reached 1/2 way up the tree. He tried to coax him down to him but Teddy was too scared or not willing to try hard yet, so we ended up going to bed and figuring he's either find his way down overnight, or we'd figure out another plan in the morning. When I woke up, the first thing I did was look to see if he was still there, and sure enough he was. We tried to push him down from branch to branch with a long pole, but it kept getting stuck in the branches, and it was just making Teddy mad, so we tried making a ramp out of wood from a nearby construction site. Teddy was willing to test it out, but it was too steep for his liking, so Michael brought out another ladder and raised the base a little to reduce the incline. Teddy wasn't too sure about it still...that is until Ryan came out with a slice of cheese, and that's when I think hunger took over, and he came over to try it again. Once he took a couple of steps on the board, it was all over because he couldn't stop and came sliding down fast. Ryan grabbed him as he reached the bottom and I don't know who was happier to see one another, Ryan or Teddy!

OH MY WORD!!! How did he get all the way up there?!?! He is totally hanging on to that branch way up there. Crazy! Glad he's OK.
Cats will do the darndest things! I bet you didn't sleep a wink that night. I'm so glad he is safely down. That's a good story. Love the board. Very creative...pictures and all.
