I don't like hunting or like that he does it, but I am very happy for Michael that he "caught" such a nice deer. It had 13 points and scored 173. He says that's good. I don't know. But I do know that I'm very proud of the way he handled himself during and after the hunt. He is such a wonderful man and has shown me over and over again why I am so absolutely in love with him.
When Mom was in the hospital, several nurses told me on different occasions what a wonderful son-in-law he was. A couple of them even told me they thought he was Mom's biological son by the way he treated her and by how loving and compassionate he was when he was with her. They told me many children were not as kind to their own parents as he was to her. He would read the paper to her, talk to her about the sports games they loved to watch together, try to keep her spirits up and inspire her with messages from his daily readers and would sit and hold her hand for hours on end, often times not saying anything at all...just being with her, and there for her, so she would know she was loved. He was a good son-in-law to her, the best son-in law he could be. She loved him like her own, and he loved her...I know because actions speak even louder than words....

My husband says that is a very nice deer. It also sounds like you really do have a great guy. That was so sweet of him to be there for your Mom like he was.
Yes, we live very close. Do you know where The Forum is? We live just a few mins from there. We live close to where 35 meets 1604.
So nice to have such a man in your life :-) What do they do with it after the hunt?
The head will be mounted and hung on the wall at the ranch, and the meat is in our freezer. It was an older buck, probably around 9 Michael said, so the meat is tough and not good for eating, but our dogs love it. At least it makes me feel better knowing it's not going to waste.
