Like most little boys, Ryan loves going to the fire station. But he doesn't like to go to just any fire station; he likes to go to the fire station down town because that's where the ladder truck and the boats are as well as lots of other fire trucks. In the past he's enjoyed looking at everything and listening to what the fire men tell him, but something happened today and my normally quiet little guy must have asked 100 questions. What is this? How does it work? Why are these here? Where are the tanks you wear on your back? Can I look inside this truck? How fast does that boat go? And on and on and on. I don't think poor Mitchell knew what he was getting into when he offered to show us around, but on the other hand, I think he enjoyed it because he said it's usually hard to keep the kids' attention for long and all they want to do is turn on the lights and hear the sirens. Ryan, on the other hand, didn't care much about those things and instead wanted to know all the ins and outs of the vehicles and equipment and how everything worked and asked some really good questions in the process. We had a lot of fun, and I was very proud of my boy.

Way to go! (Great composition and color on this shot, too.)
Such a cutie! Great pictures! And, I know the fireman liked it just as much. :) My husband is a firefighter for Chicago, and we also have a friend named Rush who is, so that's when I saw this in a feed of another person's blog and immediately came here! Just bookmarked you! :)

Looks like you may have a future firefighter there. What a great kid.
He sounds like one little smart cookie - and a cutie to boot!! :-)
Wow, what a great little guy!! I love this shot too, it captures the love of firefighters in a little boy's eyes!!
Sounds like a smart little guy. I really love the way his red shirt pops in the picture.
That is something to be proud of! Curiosity is something we need to nurture in children. And he looks so proud in this picture!
