To me, there's nothing that says "Texas" more than Bluebonnets. Last year our state was covered in them and they're already starting to bloom here in the neighborhood, so I'm hoping it'll be another good year for them.
Oh, these are so pretty, Kristin. The only place I have ever seen them is up in the mountains in early summer. There are meadows of wildflowers up there, but nothing is isolated, they are all mixed up together. These are beautiful.
Once while driving from Austin down to San Antonio during Bluebonnet season we saw a young couple with their toddler daughter, pulled off the side of the freeway!! taking pictures in a field of flowers. Now that was dedication.... or perhaps obsession :) They sure are pretty flowers.
Beautiful! On our way out of Texas (when we were moving), we made a quick stop at a field on the side of the road. It was a very quick pic and didn't really capture their beauty...hoping to get back there one day and get it right this time.

I was dying to take Siena out into a field to shoot some pictures of her while we were down, but I think we were a little early!

Gorgeous. I saw patch of them near us and we'll be hunting down more this weekend. I love this time of year in Texas.
