Seeing everyone's recent beautiful flower pictures inspired me to go looking for something blooming around here. I don't have a macro but think I might like to get one. There wasn't a lot to choose from in the neighborhood, but I did find this Hybiscus and there was something about it that kept drawing me to it. Maybe because it reminded me of Hawaii or maybe it's the symbolism to me of a new flower and a fully open mature flower growing side by side next to a dying flower that touched me in some subtle way...

This is beautiful Kristin. I love the processing. You are so good at that. I had to smile at your comment on my blog...yes I do feel better. Still not 100% after three weeks! That's crazy. But, it is easier to focus on the daily photo since I feel better.
This is beautiful!! I love the colors! I am anxiously awaiting spring!
Love the texture and your description of it. It's perfect! Oh, and I've been looking at a few macro converter lens. They run about $30 and you can just screw it onto your own lens to get a similar effect. Probably not as sharp, but it's a cheaper way to see if you like it! ;)
I am LOVING this weather! Great picture and the DOF is yummy! I only paid $8 for my macro filter. I would shop around on Amazon a bit. I love mine!
I'm so jealous! We are still knee deep in the cold white stuff here. (I'm afraid to say the 'S' word, more might start falling from the sky!)
Great photo.
If you can't afford a macro lens try checking into the macro filters like I have. Here is a post of them if you missed it. http://throughaphotographerseyes.blogspot.com/2011/01/day-15-macro.html
We have no flowers yet so I'm in awe of your blooms. This is beautiful, I love the processing!
Very pretty! Love the subtle bokeh. No flowers here yet. The snow is melting though, so hopefully some signs will show up soon. :)
Bokehlicious!!!!! Sigh, we had a beautiful sunny day but it was under 25 degrees all day.
Gorgeous.
