After I dropped the kids at school this morning I came home to an empty house. I stood in the kitchen for few minutes trying to decide what to do with myself. It was so quiet and the house was so still that I swear I could hear the dogs breathing. There wasn't anyone asking me to do this or that, no one was whining or fighting, and no one needed me for anything...it was an odd feeling. I thought and thought...I thought of a lot of things I could or should do...

Good for you! We moms need to celebrate back to school too! You have given me a plan for my boys first day back, which is Sept. 6th here in Canada.
I am not familiar with that feeling just yet. But I could go for some of that yummy ice cream...Is it gluten free? ;) I hope the kiddos are enjoying their time back at school!!
oooorrrr....you could have called your good friend, Misty and asked her to join you! :)
What is this peace and quiet you speak of?! Lol I think you made a perfect choice of how to spend your first moments of school time.
