200/365 - Disneyland

We spent another day at Disneyland. I don't know who has more fun there, the kids or Michael and I. I used to love to go play with Mickey when I was a kid. My Uncle Fred often performed in the park with Doc Severenson, so we'd sneak in with him in the back of his van. Back in the day we'd get a book of tickets for "A", "B", "C", etc. rides and the park was much smaller... but to me it seemed HUGE, and we had so much fun! However as a teenager I rarely went anymore, even though we lived less than 20 minutres away. And before we took the kids for the first time a couple of years ago, I hadn't been to the park in probably 15 years or more, so it's been fun going back and becoming a kid all over again!

One of the things the kids really love to do at Disneyland is trade pins. Before we go, we buy a bunch of cheap ones off Ebay and then we turn the kids loose with them in the park. They've gotten really good at spotting employees wearing pins and making their own decisions about trades. This trip they even ventured into the "big boy" trading area and traded with some pro's. They both made good exchanges, and it was fun to step back and watch them in action.

Trading pins. I didn't know they did that in Disneyland. How fun. It has been a few years since I went, and I have yet to see California Adventure in CA. I love Disneyland. HAVE FUN!

Love that shot on the ride. What another fun day. You already convinced me that we'd have an endless list of things to do if we were to meet up. And what a fun thing for the kids to do. My boys would love that.
