202/365 - A quiet day

We spent a couple hours on the beach next to BeBe's house this morning; it was quiet and peaceful, and I loved watching the boats go by while the kids built yet another Matterhorn sandcastle.

Later in the afternoon Randi wanted to read BeBe one of her chapter books. BeBe used to be a teacher and occasionally still does some tutoring and was impressed with how well Randi is reading. I'm super excited for her to start the first grade next month because the teacher she has will really help her reading skills take off even more.

Looks like a very nice time! So cool that Randi is making the most of her vacation by getting lots of reading practice. I see straight As in her future!

Two just beautiful photos. Great direct sun shots!! Yay for the love of reading. Most of our school day is spent reading. Nothing much better than snuggling with your little ones and watching them blossom.
