Yesterday Ryan and I went on a walk and I took the above photos in anticipation of today, but I felt like I needed to do another set to truly celebrate my 100th day on the 100th day, so I chose the below items because they are symbolic of the things my life is filled with right now.
I can't believe it's been 100 days already. When I started this project I really wondered if I could stick with it. At first I thought about doing a Project 52, but for some reason, this just seemed to be what I needed to do at the time. And while I've enjoyed the challenge, I must admit that some days have been harder than others. There have been days when I scrambled to get a picture and felt the results were rather uninspiring but, on the other hand, there have been days when everything came together and the results were pretty amazing. I've captured some great moments that I would have otherwise missed had it not been for this project and when I look back at my first 100 photos, I am happy.
Here are some things I've learned so far...
- I can do it!
- Everyday life is filled with all kinds of photo opportunities
- One photo really is worth a 1000 words, so more is not always better
- Not every photo has to be perfect to be good
- Not to be afraid to really crank up my ISO when I need to
- I don't always have to shoot with my back to the sun
- My front porch, entry doorway and garage have great light
- Lightroom rocks!
- I can take a mediocre picture and make it look pretty darn good with some creative post processing
- There is so much more I want to learn
- My kids and husband are awesome (well I actually already knew that!)
- And I have some really great cyber friends out there in 365 land who have shown me amazing kindness and support, both emotionally and creatively, and I'm thankful to each of them for being a part of this journey with me
So here's to throwing caution to the wind and gearing up for another 265 days!

Wow! Wow! Wow! This Silouette is GORGEOUS!!!! I feel bad that I flunked the Lightroom class. I was sick for the first three weeks of it, then I was too lost to catch up. I need to try to figure it out. Too bad you do not live close to me.

Fantastic 100 day post. Love the 100 sets and your list of things you learned. I'm right there with you on all of them :) Beautiful silhouette too! I have yet to try that, but my kids go to bed before the sun sets ;)
That last one took my breath away. Seriously gorgeous. You have to get that printed out large and hang it somewhere in your house.

First off...yay for 100! Secondly, I do really like your second 100 shot best, it speaks to your life in such a carefree way--makes me smile! Third, I can't begin to tell you how happy I am we met through this. You are an amazing woman and I look forward to your posts everyday, so thanks for doing the 365. Finally, that shot of Ryan is AH-MAZ-ING. You need to frame that baby!!!

That bottom photo was just... words can not explain except for saying it's captured our next 265 days perfectly.
