Ryan has a new friend... his second cousin Gregory. Gregory is my cousin Greg's only son. The boys have really enjoyed getting to know each other and spending time with one another.
The person taking their picture is my Aunt Girvani, my Mom's only sister.
It's a little hard to see but the bookshelf in the background is full of photos of my Mom, shells she collected during her many visits here to the Island and ones that we've been adding over the last couple of days as well as some of her favorite treasures.
Today we went to the turtle sanctuary, swam in the pool, went through some of Mom's things, had an amazing dinner, and spent time catching up with one another. It was a good day.

I'm so glad that you had such a wonderful day. Your aunt seems to be enjoying herself, and Ryan's little face is so happy. Don't you just love it when the children find a special bond with older cousins? The activities in honor of your mother are really thoughtful and nice.

This brought tears to my eyes. So glad you are enjoying the time with your family, remembering your mom. I bet she would love that you are all together, doing things she loved.
Love the pics of Ryan and Gregory. So sweet to see them together. We had a memorial service for my grandma last year and my kids got to meet some of their cousins for the first time. It was so great to see them together. You'd have thought they'd known each other all along.
