I'm happy to be at the beach, but I must admit it's sad being here without my Mom. I've thought about her a lot today and rather than letting myself get carried away by my emotions, I keep trying to find happiness where I can.
I'm happy because everyone flying in today arrived safely. I'm happy because I got to spend a wonderful day surrounded by lots of family. I'm happy because the sun was shining and it was a beautiful day. I'm happy because I was able to take a two hour nap this afternoon. I'm happy because I figured out how to post this from the laptop. And I'm happy because the kids are in their element here and love being at the beach as much as I do...

I always enjoy stopping by your blog, Kristin. I love seeing your family. You capture those moments perfectly. Hope you have a wonderful time at the beach, but sad that you miss your loved one. I understand. I have to admit, though, that I'm jealous and am ready for a vacation. Maybe in July. Happy Easter weekend.

I read your post and assume your mother has passed away. I'm so sorry! One day at a time...my father died 2.5 years ago now and there are still days my emotions just can't keep up. I think it's all good though. I think it truly means you LOVE and you are loved.
