We went to the Children's Museum today with our friend Jake and they were demonstrating these fun things called "Stomp Rockets". The boys had a blast, and I got to try out some recommendations for action setting from my 365 friend Amy. I normally would have set my shutter speed at around 500, but Amy's uber sharp action pictures are taken at a much faster shutter speed, so I cranked mine up to 2000, and I'm glad I did. Thanks for the tip Amy!

LOVE this Kristin! Great job stopping the action! How fun!
These are Great! Love the action! Very creative too. I have never heard of these.
Terrific action shots!
Oh my goodness, that's an awesome action shot!!! I'll have to write down that tip! :)
I do like my 35mm. I always forget to use it though because I love my 50mm. :) However, when I need that wider lens, it's amazing! I would love to get the 35mm 1.4 some day! I also have the 60mm macro lens and I love love love that. I took those photos of Adalyn's eyes from yesterday with it. It's amazing sharp and it's even great for portraits!
Okay, you'll be able to help me with my camera dilemma. My 50D is really starting to annoy me. I would LOVE to upgrade to full frame but honestly after reading so much about the Mark II, I think I'll wait for the Mark III. So I know the focus system on the 7D is amazing and another thing I want is low light capabilities which I heard and saw from yesterday's post of yours is great too. Do you think it's worth me upgrading to the 7D right now while waiting for the never ending release of the new Mark? I'm so confused, but I'm just starting to feel like I'm out growing my camera. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciate it and sorry this is so long! LOL
You rocked those action shots, awesome!
I absolutely love this shot. The action is perfect!! And yes, we definitely need to get together next time! I thought you were close to Gruene...I just love it there!! Probably won't be until after the baby is born, but we will always have trips to Texas!! ;)
SO cool. My son absolutely needs a "stomp rocket". Hello! Thank you for sharing this. These photos are adorable. and THANK YOU SO MUCH for your sweet words at keeping Zeek.
Blessings to you,
Lora
Those are so cool! I just love his face in the second photo. Again, my boys would LOVE that toy. If we decide on TX for vaca., we will have to get together. I think our children would get along well just like we would :)
You did great on these action shots! These are very cute! Love his cheeks, too!
