32/365 - Shoelaces

Photo & Video Sharing by SmugMug

Randi has been able to tie her shoes for a little while now, but I never thought to take a picture of her sweet little hands working so hard to make a perfect bow, so before it got away from me any further, I took the opportunity to capture the moment today. I love how the star on her hand from dance class matches the star on her new converse shoes...that she just had to have and I couldn't say no to because secretly I wanted them for myself!

I'm participating in Willette's "The Joy of Love" class throughout the month of February for extra inspiration and motivation to keep up with this project. Today's theme is "What they do", so this shot worked well because we do a lot of shoelace tying around here these days.

They grow so fast. I always try to capture the new things my daughter does before it's 'old news'. :)

Good job! Love the shoes too! I want to a pair!

Yes, we are trying to stay warm. BRRR! We lost power for about an hour this morning. The temp in our house quickly dropped and I was already thinking about where we could take the younger 2 to get out of the house. So glad it came back on! I hope it snows too!

Love this! My daughter had to have the same pair of shoes, in black. I couldn't say no either :-)

What a special milestone you've captured. It is something so simple we take for granted. It was my goal to have my daughter tying her shoes before she started kindergarten this year. Perfect "what they do".

I'm trying to teach my guy to tie his shoes as well but I don't think I can bribe him w new shoes. He's a boy. But I will tell you we used to HAVE matching Converse sneaks so go out & get yourself a pink pair, mama!
